It’s been quite the wait, but finally it seems Notorious Circus, my latest collaboration with Kid Toussaint, will hit the stands in a few months (although I dare not yet say exactly which month). For this project I’ve also been teaming up with fellow artist (and more) Sjan Weijers, who’s brought her wonderful colors to make my pictures look prettier.

In the meantime, here’s the cover…

Also, check out Mr. Toussaint’s new book with artist José-Maria Beroy: À l’ombre du convoi at Casterman!

Wake Up!

For readers who like their books in Dutch:

The Dutch edition of ‘Snooze’ has finally arrived!

This edition will be published at Dark Dragon Books (known for their classy hardcover editions of ‘Conan’, ‘Red Sonja’, ‘Sláine’ and more) and will premiere at the Stripdagen in Gorinchem, March 10 & 11, 2012.

Get out your tulips and wooden shoes and pre-order your copy here!

Holy Costume Party Batman!

This one was a limited print at the Lille Comics Festival in November 2011.

Started out with a more realistic style but realized the legs looked too boring that way, so ended up stylizing a bit more into ‘toon’ territory.

Have wanted to give Harley a shot for a while – she was fun!

Something Fishy!

Yet another Black Cat commission. Graphite version can be found here (also SOLD).

This one’s all about educating kids about omega-3 fatty acids, which keep the heart healthy.

And Black Cat’s trademark huge fishbowl.

Back To Work!

Well, it’s been quite a while since my last post, waaay back before my weblog host decided to move to someplace else on the internets and apparently ran into all sorts of trouble on the way.

Anyway, I’m back with a new look and a whole set of new blogging options I don’t understand! In the meantime: back to work! Here’s some of the stuff that’s been going on while this place was off the air.

First off: another Black Cat commission. Here’s the pencils (SOLD and -apparently- lost in the mail)…

Meow Back!

Bc_evenhuis_01 Here’s Marvel’s Black Cat flaunting her most… wooly bit. On another note, I think I can now add ‘mammography’ to my resume.

I’m quite happy with the eyes here.

Ahem: They’re up there.

Update 05/31/2011: SOLD

Here’s a colored Black Cat ahead of the graphite one I’ll be working on shortly.

Additionally, I can now add ‘mammography’ to my resume.

Character property of Marvel Comics.

Hail the Queen!

Emmafrost_evenhuis_01 Ok, this one’s actually not for sale… yet. But I felt all inspired and just couldn’t fight it.

So here’s Marvel’s White Queen (Emma Frost) flaunting her most wavy bits.

I’m not at all afraid to say that I actually kind of like this one a little bit actually.

When I get around to it, this one will also be 11×17″, pencils with shading.

Anyone with X-ray vision read Latin?

Stage Fright!

Zatanna_evenhuis_02Colored version of the Zatanna ‘Stage Fright’ piece that’s now also for sale here. Again, the original is 11×17″, shaded pencils with full background.

Contact me or Jamkorart if you’re interested in buying!

Dance Magic Dance!

Zatanna_evenhuis_01And here’s a colored version of the Zatanna piece that’s now also for sale here.

The original is 11×17″, shaded pencils and can be viewed here.

Contact me or Jamkorart if you’re interested in buying this!

Update 03/20/2011: Sold! Whoa, that went pretty fast!

Meow!

Catwoman_evenhuis_02 Here’s a colored version of the Catwoman piece that’s now for sale here.

The original is 11×17″, b/w inked. Send me a message if you’d like to buy – you’ll help me feed my own cats!
